Pre-Congress Course and Workshop
“The Surgical Nurse in minimally invasive neurosurgery”

General Objective: 
To establish the role of the surgical nurse during neurological surgical procedures carried out with minimal invasive technique (MIN neurosurgery)

Specific objectives: 
At the end of the course and workshop participants will be able to: 
Know the historical background and the philosophical concepts behind minimal  invasive neurosurgery.
 
Know the basic concepts and nomenclature used in the different minimal invasion neurosurgical techniques: How to take down and put together stereotactic equipment, assembly and dissasembly of neuroendoscopes, catheter management in endovascular therapy.

Microneurosurgery with a focus on  MIN: The importance of  microsurgical planning.

The correct interpretation of the  keyhole concept.
Indications for MIN microsurgery .

Material and equipment used in microsurgical MIN.


Preparation of  material and equipment and team positioning  in  microsurgical MIN procedures .
